Descend the steps of Drogarati cave and an atmospheric subterranean world awaits you. Feels like the river of time stops flowing here, in the depths of the Earth. Orange and yellow stalactites hang from the roof like curtains while vitreous stalagmites emerge to form spacious chambers.

The Archaeological Collection of Sami in Kefalonia as well as the mosaics’ exhibition in its surrounding area were inaugurated in August 2021. The permanent exhibition of the Collection presents the diachronic habitation of Sami dated from the early Bronze Age until the early Byzantine times through the finds from the territory of the city-state of Sami and from Fiskardo, the ancient city of Panormos. The mosaic floors have been retrieved from private and public buildings, reflecting the techniques and patterns that are featured in the mosaics’ art in Roman and late Roman Sami depicting the Roman way of life.

After a photostop in Antisamos beach, we will reach the Monastery of Agrilia. On a hill just above the bay of Sami, there is the Monastery of Agrilion, an important religious site for the locals. The location of the monastery offers incredible view to the blue green waters of Antisamos beach on one side and the towns of Sami and Agia Efimia on the other.

Our tour ends at the multi-awarded and renown beach of Myrtos that ranks among the best beaches worldwide. Deep turquoise blue waters embraced by white sand leading to dazzling white pebbles, in a long, long strip of dramatic beauty.
